UX WRITING
I spent over 4 years at Edison Software/YipitData. It was during my time there that I discovered UX writing. Below are some examples of my UX writing work for OnMail (now defunct) and Edison Mail.

ONMAIL
OnMail is an email service launched by Edison Software in 2020 to help users worldwide take back control of their inboxes with a first-of-its-kind permission-based inbox. Users are able to sign up for a new @onmail.com address, or get a custom domain of their choice.
Below are some examples of the writing I did for the webapp.
CHALLENGE
How to teach users how to use unique OnMail features and encourage them to try out others.
SOLUTION
Use simple language to educate users on features they haven’t encountered previously.
WHAT I DID
Collaborated closely with the design and engineering team to understand the products and create simple, clean copy
CREATING SPLITS
Splits are a simple way for users to organize the emails they receive with the rules OR, AND, and NOT. This section provided information for users to help them create their first ones.
THE OTHER INBOX
The Other inbox was created to help users skim through their marketing/less urgent emails in a visual format.
FILTERS
Information on why users should set up a filter.
A CUSTOM EMAIL ADDRESS
One of OnMail’s main focuses was the custom email address integration. From this page, users learn the steps to get a new domain for themselves.
QUICK ACTIONS
Educating users on Quick Actions they can take in their inbox.
ACCOUNT INFORMATION
Where the user can change their general account information and security details.
INBOX BREAK
Inbox Break is a feature built to help users take some time off from their notifications. Similar to Focus by Apple, Inbox Break helps users concentrate on the here and now.

TOOLS
Adobe XD
Edison Mail is an independent email app created by Edison Software. During my 4+ years with the Edison Software team, I acted as the bridge between the marketing and design/engineering teams.
Below you can find some of the work I did for the Settings Menu.
CHALLENGE
Help users understand the features and bug checks in an easily understandable format.
SOLUTION
Use clear, concise language to educate users on features and notifications.
WHAT I DID
Collaborated with the design team to create easily understandable copy
Created an existing template for the user that also acted as a way to explain the feature
TROUBLESHOOTING NOTIFICATIONS
Users go to this section to troubleshoot notification issues. The copy changes from present to past tense after the check is fully run to make it more obvious to the user.
TEMPLATES
Templates were created to save users from rewriting the same message over and over again. This section of the Settings Menu explains this feature to first-time users.
